Dev Blog #1 – BridgePass 11

Version: 0.0.2.0A B386
Credential ID: BP11-2A-B256-2F9C-7D1A [BE01]
Release Date: July 25, 2025

General Update Overview
With the release of version 0.0.2.0A B386, our development efforts have been centered around early-stage stability, bootloader compatibility, and the refinement of our core bypass routines—the heart of what makes BridgePass 11 effective.

Although the application remains in alpha stage, this version lays the groundwork for a more robust and scalable architecture. We’ve overhauled several core components, introducing safer ISO handling methods, and streamlined the process responsible for unpacking and repacking the installation media. Additionally, the bypass engine has been refactored to ensure more reliable execution across a wider range of ISO builds, including those with non-standard partition maps or custom metadata.

This release also resolves a series of critical bugs reported during initial user testing, improving not only crash resilience but also the accuracy of file patching, logging, and error handling. In short, B386 represents a vital technical milestone toward a stable beta version, offering a cleaner, safer, and more compatible experience for early adopters.

Bugs Fixes & Crash Handling
In version 0.0.2.0A B386, we have resolved several runtime issues that previously led to instability during ISO extraction and patching.

  • Fixed a critical crash during ISO validation when processing multi-volume ISO formats or split-image structures.

  • Resolved a hang condition caused by install.wim files compressed with uncommon LZMS headers, which previously led to indefinite freezes.

  • Improved exception handling when required tools such as 7-Zip are missing or misconfigured, providing clearer error messages and preventing abrupt termination.

  • Implemented fallback logic when boot.wim integrity checks fail, allowing automatic retries using alternate image streams or revalidation paths.

  • Strengthened file access controls to reduce the risk of permission-related crashes, especially when operating in restricted environments or locked directories.

Bootloader Enhancements (Experimental)
This build also introduces experimental modifications to the bootloader configuration process, which are applied when rebuilding patched ISO images.

  • A custom GRUB-based UEFI fallback has been introduced for legacy systems that lack full EFI shell support. This enables more consistent boot behavior on older hardware.

  • Dual boot entry point support has been added to improve compatibility with multiboot USB environments such as Ventoy or Rufus hybrid setups.

  • Internal bootloader layers, including bootfix.bin and etfsboot.com, have been patched to support ISO startup on non-standard BIOS configurations, including systems with atypical boot flag behavior.

  • Preliminary logic for boot-time hardware suppression has been implemented. This will eventually allow BridgePass to bypass Secure Boot and TPM-related BIOS warnings before the Windows Setup environment launches.

NOTE:
Some of these features are inactive in standard builds and are only available in the [BE02] test release, which is distributed exclusively to internal testers and selected contributors. Users running the public version of BridgePass 11 will see limited bootloader modification options until these features are fully validated and integrated into a future general release.
